Dear Colleagues,

After 25 years of dedicated and outstanding service, Dr. Atul Mehta is stepping down as the Chief Editor of the JOBIP. As a result, the AABIP Board of Directors is seeking applications to fill the following positions starting in January 2018.

  1. Chief Editor of the JOBIP: This is for a single position and the appointment is subject to approval by the publisher of the JOBIP. Initial appointment will be for a 3 year term, renewable based on performance up to 3 times for a total tenure not to exceed 9 years. Applicants for the position should be AABIP Board Certified Interventional Pulmonologists with a proven track record in clinical or basic science research. Only those at least 10 years out of training or at the academic rank of Associate Professor and above will be considered. Prior editorial experience is required. Women and minority applicants are encouraged to apply. Interested applicants should send a letter of application, a vision statement, a recent CV and 3 reference letters to info@aabronchology.org.
  2. Associate Editors of the JOBIP: There are 3 positions available and the appointments are subject to approval by the selected incoming Chief Editor and the publisher of the JOBIP. Initial appointment will be for a 3 year term, renewable based on performance up to 3 times for a total tenure not to exceed 9 years. Applicants for the position should be AABIP Board Certified Interventional Pulmonologists with a proven track record in clinical or basic science research. Prior editorial experience is recommended. The deadline for completed applications and receipt of all supporting materials is October 10th 2017. The AABIP BOD will select the sole finalist for the Chief Editor position and forward to the publisher for approval. The BOD will subsequently select the Associate Editors in conjunction with the new Chief Editor.
