The program is available for those starting IP fellowship in 2021 or interested in pursuing IP fellowship. The information requested will be used to match mentees with a mentor outside of their home institutions to promote collaboration.
Program Objectives: To promote the mentee’s professional development, provide career guidance, and aid the fellow to explore research and job opportunities. For any questions, please contact Van Holden, MD vholden@som.umaryland.edu.

Start Date: March 2021

Once matched, we recommend that the mentee and mentor agree on a schedule that works best for both parties. The most important thing is to discuss your mutual expectations about time and communication at the start of the relationship, but monthly contact is recommended. Keep in mind that mentoring does not necessarily require large amounts of time, and mentees are encouraged to establish 1-3 objectives when meeting with their mentor to optimize the time.
