CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
Secretary-Treasurer of the AABIP
The Board of Directors of the American Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (AABIP) is soliciting nominations for the position of Secretary-Treasurer of the AABIP. The position will become vacant in October 2019. The Nominating Committee would like to invite all members of the AABIP to submit nominations for this position. The Secretary-Treasurer will serve a 2-year term with no possibility of reelection. According to the bylaws of the AABIP, the Secretary-Treasurer is automatically promoted to the President-Elect and the President of AABIP for a two-year term in each position.
Candidates must
• Be an active member of the AABIP
• Four years out of Interventional Pulmonology Fellowship OR five years out of Pulmonary
Fellowship (if not IP trained)
• Board Certified in Interventional Pulmonology
If you would like to nominate an individual, please send the name and contact information to the AABIP Nominating Committee Chair Erik Folch. Nominees will be contacted to request additional information. Self-nominations are encouraged.
The nominee application package should include the following:
1. CV
2. Statement of Interest
The list of qualified nominees will be presented to the AABIP Board of Directors for a final
vetting process before the general elections.
